This document outlines the required event policies, participant expectations, safety guidelines, and legal agreements that all attendees must understand and comply with.

1. Release of Liability
Winter Shred Fest involves activities that carry inherent risk, including:
- Winter driving
- Backroad travel
- Snowmobiling
- Skiing/snowboarding
- Cold-weather environments
- Mountain terrain
By participating, I acknowledge that:
- I voluntarily accept all risks associated with this event.
- I release Overkill Battalion, its staff, partners, sponsors, owners, instructors, volunteers, and affiliated venues from any liability related to injury, death, vehicle damage, personal property loss, cold-weather exposure, or accidents occurring during any part of this event.
- I am personally and financially responsible for any damages I cause to vehicles, equipment, facilities, or property.
- I must carry valid auto insurance and accept full responsibility for any costs involving towing, recovery, repairs, medical treatment, or rescue operations.
- Organizers may remove any participant from event activities if their behavior or equipment presents a safety risk.
2. Code of Conduct
All participants must conduct themselves with maturity, respect, and team mindset.
I agree to:
- Follow all instructions from staff, instructors, and convoy leaders
- Respect all fellow participants, locals, property owners, and businesses
- Avoid harassment, hostile behavior, excessive aggression, or reckless actions
- Operate my vehicle responsibly and within safe limits
- Maintain a positive attitude and support the team
Violation of conduct expectations may lead to removal from the event without refund.
3. Media Release
By joining the event, I authorize Overkill Battalion to:
- Photograph
- Film
- Record audio
- Capture drone footage
I understand and agree that:
- My likeness may appear in published content, including YouTube, social media, event recaps, and promotional material
- I grant Overkill Battalion full rights to use this media commercially
- I waive all rights to compensation, approval, or future claims related to media captured during the event
4. Passenger Age & Height Requirement
To participate as a passenger:
- Must be 8 years of age or older
OR - Must be at least 4’9” in height, able to safely buckle into the truck seatbelt without a booster seat
Passengers who do not meet this requirement are not allowed to ride in participant vehicles during driving segments.
5. Required Gear & Vehicle Setup
Participants are responsible for arriving properly equipped.
Conditions include snow, ice, low traction, mountain passes, and reduced visibility.
Required equipment:
- Mechanically sound Ford Raptor
- Good tires rated for winter use
- Proper spare tire (with correct PSI)
- 50-Watt VHF race radio (e.g., ICOM F5021)
- Rear-facing amber lights
- Forward-facing off-road lights (amber + clear recommended)
- Ditch lights recommended
- Cargo fully secured in the bed
- Kinetic recovery rope
Trip-specific items:
- Winter clothing layers
- Bathing suit (hot springs)
- Windshield brush/scraper
- Windshield cover/screen
Recommended but not required:
- Second spare tire
- Off-road jack
- iPad navigation apps
- Additional recovery equipment
Each participant is responsible for their vehicle’s condition, repairs, towing costs, and safety.
6. Driving Safety & Convoy Protocol
During all Raptor run segments, I agree to:
- Wear seatbelts at all times
- On the ice, vehicles must maintain 10–15 feet of spacing at all times.
- In parking lots and staging areas, speed must not exceed 5 mph.
- Follow designated route and convoy lead instructions
- Avoid aggressive behavior, high-risk stunts, drifting, racing, unsafe passes, or reckless maneuvers
- Respect property, land access, and local traffic laws
- Immediately call out vehicle issues, hazards, or emergencies over radio
Passing on the course is strictly prohibited.
Drivers must slow near track workers and come to a complete stop in the designated stop box at the end of the course.
We drive hard — but we drive smart and controlled.
7. ADDENDUM A – Arctikhana Ice Driving Private Event Rules
Driver & Passenger Information
All drivers must provide a valid driver’s license, sign the liability waiver, and attend the mandatory driver’s meeting.
All passengers must also sign the liability waiver.
Unsafe behavior may result in removal from the driving session without refund.
8. Snowmobile Day Rules
Snowmobiling is unsupervised.
Participants must operate machines responsibly at all times.
I agree to:
- Stay within personal skill limits
- Respect terrain hazards, deep powder, tree wells, ice layers, and obstacles
- Maintain visibility and spacing
- Avoid dangerous stunts
- Report any injury, mechanical failure, or incident immediately
Participants accept all risks associated with snowmobile use.
9. Skiing & Snowboarding Safety
For the Mt. Werner day:
- Follow all resort rules and boundaries
- Maintain control on slopes
- Respect slow zones and high-traffic areas
- Wear helmets (strongly recommended)
- Report injuries immediately
Participants assume full responsibility for injuries sustained during skiing/snowboarding.
10. Georgetown Venue Rules
- Driving is permitted only within designated lake areas.
- Driving on shorelines or banks is strictly prohibited.
- Use only designated parking and staging areas.
- Do not block access roads.
- Dogs must be leashed at all times.
- Alcohol and marijuana are strictly prohibited.
All trash and personal belongings must be removed before leaving.
11. Weather, Terrain & Route Adjustments
The event may include:
- Steep mountain passes
- Rapid weather changes
- Snow, ice, wind, fog
- Hidden hazards and reduced visibility
Organizers may adjust routes, timing, or schedules at any time to maintain safety.
Participants must adapt accordingly.
12. Communications Protocol
- A functioning VHF radio must be used during convoy driving
- Participants must stay on the assigned channel
- Cell service may be unavailable — radios are primary communication
- Safety callouts are mandatory
- Participants must respond when called
Failure to comply may result in removal from driving segments.
13. Emergencies, Accidents & Medical Needs
In emergencies:
- Notify the team by radio immediately
- Pull over safely if possible
- Remain with your vehicle unless unsafe
- Emergency services will be called if needed
I am responsible for:
- Any vehicle recovery/towing
- Damages from collisions
- Medical costs
- Liability arising from negligence
Any condition affecting safety must be disclosed before arrival.
14. Registration Agreement & Legal Confirmation
By submitting my deposit:
- I confirm that I have carefully read and agree to all items listed above
- I confirm that I have access to the full Rules & Regulations before payment
- I accept all risks associated with Winter Shred Fest 2026
- I understand that additional forms, signatures, and waivers may be required after checkout
- I acknowledge that failure to comply with any rules may result in removal from the event with no refund
